Preparations

If you’re in a serious, committed, settled relationship, you might be uniquely ill-equipped for med school life. Why?  Because the entire med school training process is a whole bunch of unknown.  What school will they get accepted to?  Where will you be living? Who will you be friends with?

We spent the years following college building our own American Dream. A house in the country. A car to get to our professional office jobs in “the city”. A truck to help us become home improvers on the weekend.  We developed our own routines. We bought in bulk.  We were planners.

Fortunately, our planning skills seem to have served us well, and we made some major changes.   I'll share more in future posts!
